Instant Payments

Yes, limits apply depending on the type of transaction, your account and whether the transfer is domestic or international.

Domestic Transfers (within Cyprus): Customers can transfer up to €50,000 per day, either as a single transaction or in multiple transactions.

International Transfers (outside Cyprus): The maximum is €25,000 per transaction, with a daily limit of €50,000 per customer.

SEPA Direct Transfers:

• Individuals: Up to €25,000 per transaction.
• Businesses: Up to €25,000 per transaction.

Instant Payments do not have any additional fees beyond the standard SEPA fees. You can see the applicable pricing in the Bank's Fees Table.

The 36 SEPA countries, i.e. the 27 EU member states as well as Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Vatican, San Marino, Monaco and Andorra, participate in the service. Verification of whether the recipient's bank supports direct credit transfers will also be done at the time of entering the order through the Internet & Mobile Banking App screen.

If your order cannot be executed with the Instant Payments service, you will be informed on your mobile or computer screen and you will have the option to resubmit it by selecting the SEPA channel. 

Transferring money with Instant Payments is completely secure. During its processing, the sender and recipient of the money are identified, using advanced security protocols. Therefore, you will be able to know based on the beneficiary details you have registered, if they actually correspond to a natural or legal person and are valid.

No, it is necessary to know the recipient's IBAN to be able to transfer money with the Instant Payments service.
